Manufactured using the highest quality materials available, Roll Sun solar powered pool covers are quick and easy to install and suitable for pools up to 6 meters wide and 13 meters long.

Simply Efficient

Converting light into electricity is by no means a new technology, it was first discovered by the French during the 18th Century. It wasn’t until the 1960’s that a commercial use was found for photovoltaic cells when NASA used them to provide power aboard spacecraft. Since then, using the cells to gain the free power available from daylight has become more commonplace and photovoltaic cells can be seen in a variety of applications ranging from calculators to roadside communication equipment.

The energy collected by the photovoltaic cells on Roll Sun covers is stored in highly efficient, rechargeable batteries that allow for an average cover to be opened and closed consecutively up to thirty times.

Both the cells and batteries are incorporated within compact roller end stands produced using extremely rigid, 4mm thick aluminium, lacquered with an attractive white finish.

The individual slats used to make up a Roll Sun cover are produced from stain-resistant PVC and are finished with chemically sealed end caps. Air trapped by the caps within the slat chamber provides high insulation properties and an excellent flotation figure of over 7.6kg/m2 This flotation combined with the optional locking system can be used to help improve safety* for children under five years old.

Roll Sun slats are finished with colour-coded end caps and are available in a choice of blue, white or beige to blend in with almost any pool environment.

All Roll Sun pool covers are supplied with a manual crank handle plus a battery charger to cover any contingency.
